Homepage -- Bernhard Reiter

From January 1999 to January 2000, I was Research Assistant and graduate/Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography. I hold a MSc in Geography from UWM now. Right now I am working for Intevation GmbH, my company.

Everything on this official page here has to do with my studies as of the Applied Systems Science here in Osnabrück, Germany. I earned the degree "Diplom Systemwissenschaftler" on the 20th of October, 1998.

  • Gnuplot -- Scientific Plotting Widely kown program for visualise data. References to new versions and more.
  • Piecharts with GNU's plotutils An example program for the libplot library.
  • barchart(»Englisch) -- Workaround to fill areas with gnuplot (and xfig). Useful for barcharts.
  • Information about the Monte Carlo Method for system scientists on the net.
  • statist -- small and handy program for some statistical tasks by Dirk Melcher.
  • "Diplomarbeit"(»German) Finished 20.2.1998. Master Thesis in German. Translated title: "Uptake of Semipersistent Organic Compounds from Soil into Crop Plants, a Comparison of Measured and Simulated Transferrates."

This page is not a direct translation of my german academic homepage. I do not have the time to fully maintain all information in two languages. So some information will remain in German only, unless a lot of request for it has reached me.

On the 13th of May, 1996 I gave a talk about the Development of the Model Interchange Format(MIF) in our project colloquium. In english only the summary is available. The MIF is used in the CemoS-Project (oneway) where I participate in.
